MLK Invite Meet Wrap Up

This past weekend we headed to Fishers, Indiana for our Tri-Meet with the Host Southeastern Swim Club and the Oakland Live Y’ers from Michigan.  What a great way to start the new year off!  We had each age group swimming prelims together, which made for quick sessions and we had a number of new best times.  It was great seeing the kids together on a pool deck at a meet with other teams and all coming together.  Thanks to Chris Fox for helping to officiate the meet as well. It’s always good to our CSP officials on deck at meets.

For the parents, they had a great view on SSC’s live feed, either at their hotel or for others in the comfort of their own homes. 

With the 10 & Unders, they only competed that way on Friday night, the rest of the weekend they were competing with the 11 – 12-year-old swimmers as 12 & Unders.  But for Friday night, Mason Voss won his two events, while placing in the Top 8 were Evan Kim, Prairey Maxwell, Vivie Murphy and Lucas Theodos, and finishing in the Top 16 were Lucy Baley and Emma Fouke.  Once we went to the 12 & Under Age Groups for the Prelim/Final portion, Mason and Prairey both made Finals in the Top 8, while finishing in the Top 16 were Olive Agustin, Lucy and Evan, while Eli Voss was our youngest competitor at the meet at 7 years old.

For the rest of the 12 & Unders, winning events were Brody Blatt and Camden Theodos.  Placing in the Top 8 were Keegan Brown, Claire Chumley, Nora Cooke, Colin Cunneen, Harrison Frost, Brandon Hu, Aiden Kim, Maitland Michaelson, Brodyn Murphy, Gavin Palatt, Olivia Shell and Arlo Ziolkowski, while placing in the Top 16 was Jordyn Hamrah.

In the 13 – 14 Age Groups, winning events were Grace Coppel, Kearney Foy, Daniel Garza, Cabot Murawski, Hannah Renaud and Xander Theodos.  Placing in the Top 8 were Jax Bespalko, Ben Chumley, Corbin Cole, Kaitlyn Cragg, Bennett Cuculich, Avery Cunneen, Joseph DiGuiseppe, Macie DiGuiseppe, Wills Dino, Cate Fear, Luke Gill, Charlie Hill, Jacqueline Hu, Caitlin Kuhlmann, Isabel Phillips, Austin Theodos, Ella Welch and Emma Welch.  Finishing in the Top 16 were Sonia Archambault, Stevie Potter, Nina Schuerer, Sarah Wallace and Meg Willmann.

In the 15 & Over Age Groups, winning events were Sophie Henriksen and Eric Ji.  Placing in the Top 8 were Steven Busch, Shelby Bushong, Trey Cunneen, Ryan Mauney, Cameron McCrary, Campbell Murawski, Carter Murawski, Juliette Phillips, Elizabeth Rainey, Madelyn Schoedel, JD Suarez, Niko Theodos, Willem Thomas, Wil Welch and Graham Zucker.  Finishing in the Top 16 were Masis Bagautdinov, Sam Ellenhorn, Everdine Ferguson, Jackson Fox, Emily Frazier, Lucy Maxey, Gavin Thomas and Hunter Wilson, while also competing in Indy was Charlie Krasnoff.
