CSP Wins the Ozark Division I Champs for the Sixth Year in a Row

CSP won their 6^th straight Ozark Division I Champs Meet this past weekend.  We are the only team to achieve this feat twice, and one of only three teams to ever accomplish six in a row (Sugar Creek in the 80’s and Parkway in the 90’s).  We also went on to win all six of the age groups at this meet, which in recent history, we don’t recall this ever being done before!

Austin Chu was won the Bill Karasick Award as the Outstanding Male Swimmer of the Meet.  Austin’s accomplishments at this meet were unprecedented.  He won all seven of his individual events with New Ozark Records, and also led off the 200 Free Relay with a new Ozark Record in the 50 Free, the oldest Ozark Record on the books, which had stood since 1978!  His 100 IM Ozark Record is the 3^rd fastest time in USA Swimmer History for the 11 – 12 Boys!  Nationally, his times are ranked as follows:

50 Free – 2^nd
50 Back – 1^st
100 Back – 1^st
100 Breast – 4^th
50 Fly – 1^st
100 Fly – 2^nd
100 IM – 1^st
200 IM – 1^st

Evan Kim won the 10 & Under Boys High Point, being the only other Boy to win all seven of his individual events, as well as setting a new Team Record for the 50 Back.

Emma Fouke was the 3^rd Place High Point Winner for the 11 – 12 Girls, setting a new Team Record in the 50 Breast.

Other High Point Award winners include, Dhathri Kolli (3^rd 10 & Under Boys), Mason Voss (3^rd 11 – 12 Boys) and Ema Stojicevic (3^rd 13 – 14 Girls).

In the 10 & Under Age Group, winning events was Evan, while placing in the Top 8 were Julia Bucci, Annabelle Crall, Paige Haug, Dhathri, Jason Lai, Grace Liu, Tommy Melly, Eli Voss and Finn Ziolkowski. 

Finishing in the Top 16 were Timmy Chen, Libby Cole, Triston Cole, Amelie Ronnie, Ivan Ryazanov, Deon Saunders and Sylas Ulrich.

In the 200 Medley Relays, the Girls Team of Julia, Paige, Grace and Annabelle won, while Harper Stewart, Madelyn Myroup, Libby and Stella Pelech competed.  For the boys, Evan, Eli, Tommy and Dhathri were 2^nd, with Finn, Ivan, Timmy and Deon in 5^th and Triston, Jason, Sylas and Kevin Li racing as well.

In the 200 Free Relays, Annabelle, Grace, Julia and Paige won, while Madelyn, Amalie, Harper and Libby were 11^th.  For the Boys, Evan, Eli, Dhathri and Finn were 2^nd and Tommy, Ivan, Deon and Sylas were 7^th.

In the 11 – 12 Age Group, winning events were Lucy Baley, Austin, Jacob Corbett, Emma and Mason.  Finishing in the Top 8 were Charlie Fan, Graham Hall, Marissa Kelley, Indie Layton, Prairey Maxwell and Vivie Murphy.  Placing in the Top 16 were Kate Brinton, Cameron House, Adie Jeliazkova, Kaedyn Miller, Molly Moriarty, Sophie Sobush, Lucas Theodos and Sam Ulrich.  Also racing with the 11 – 12 Swimmers were Leela Anadkat, Charlotte Dahlby, Kellie Ji, Maddie Keller, Lucy Meyer, Elsa Moore, Daniel Peterson and Eve Unger.

In the Girls Relays for the 11 – 12-Year-Old Age Group CSP did as follows:

200 Medley – Marissa, Emma, Lucy and Prairey won while Molly, Vivie, Indie and Kate were 6^th

400 Medley – Marissa, Emma, Lucy and Prairey won while Molly, Vivie, Indie and Kate were 7^th

200 Free – Prairey, Vivie, Marissa and Emma were 2^nd with Molly, Indie, Audrey Brown and Lucy 6^th

400 Free – Emma, Lucy, Vivie and Prairey 2^nd and Molly, Indie, Maggie Sharp and Marissa 6^th

In the 11 – 12 Boys Relays, CSP did as follows:

200 Medley – Mason, Jacob, Austin and Charlie won, while Cameron, Graham, Sam and Eamon Weis were 6^th

400 Medley – Mason, Jacob, Austin and Charlie, while Cameron, Graham, Sam and Eamon were 8^th

200 Free – Austin, Jacob, Charlie and Mason won, with Cameron, Graham, Sam and Eamon 8^th

400 Free – Austin, Jacob, Charlie and Mason won, with Cameron, Graham, Sam and Eamon 9^th

In the 13 – 14 Age Group, winning events was Camden Theodos, while placing in the Top 8 were Reese Anderson, Charlotte Brown, Keegan Brown, Claire Chumley, Colin Cunneen, Harrison Frost, Liv Hanes, Sam Hoberman, Aiden Kim, Maddie Mug, Henry Mura, Mia Panic, Noel Rice, Ema and Cole Warnke. 

Finishing in the Top 16 were Max Boevingloh, Aidan Brennan, Gio Bucci, Ryan DeMargel, Elise Hamelink, Jordyn Hamrah, Henry Hassenstab, Frances Igney, Maitland Michaelson, Brodyn Murphy, Will Plassmeyer, Aarav Sade and Olivia Shell.  Also competing at the Ozark Division I Champs Meet were Jackson Brinton, Vladimir Chapman, Gigi Demaggio, Miller Dorsey, Sienna Kelley, Klara Miller and Ella Shadel Lawrence.

In the Girls Relays, CSP finishes as follows:

200 Medley – Claire, Ema, Reese and Noel were 3^rd and Mia, Jordyn, Elise and Maitland were 6^th

400 Medley – Claire, Charlotte, Reese and Noel were 2^nd and Mia, Jordyn, Elise and Maitland were 4^th

200 Free – Claire, Noel, Reese and Mia were 3^rd and Nora Cooke, Ema, Elise and Maitland were 7^th

400 Free – Claire, Noel, Ema and Reese were 3^rd, with Maddie, Mia, Liv and Maitland in 8^th

800 Free – Ema, Noel, Charlotte and Claire were 3^rd, while Reese, Mia, Maitland and Elise 5^th

For the Boys, CSP finished as follows:

200 Medley – Sam, Harrison, Camden and Aiden were 5^th and Colin, Max, Keegan and Cole were 6^th

400 Medley – Sam, Harrison, Aiden and Cole were 4^th with Gio, Max, Henry and Aidan in 7^th

200 Free – Camden, Aiden, Harrison and Cole in 4^th, with Sam, Kevin Wu, Keegan and Max in 7^th

400 Free – Camden, Aiden, Harrison and Cole in 4^th, while Sam, Henry, Keegan and Max were 6^th
