85th CSP Summer Invitational was a huge Success

The 85th CSP Summer Invitational was a huge success.  This is the 2nd longest running meet in USA Swimming, and the coaches spent many hours leading up, during and after the meet.  From just doing entries for CSP, taking entries from other teams, scheduling workers, setting up every morning and shutting down every night, and of course working with all of our swimmers during the meet, the coaches wore many hats this past weekend.

Thanks to Derek Brown, who stepped in as our Meet Referee and our Starter Chris Fox, as they worked every session on a very hot deck.  Lauren Brown stepped in as the lone Meet Director this year and did an incredible job as well, making sure that we had all the volunteers needed, as well as bringing in her own family when needed.   There are so many people behind the scenes, that help this meet run so smoothly, and so often they are not noticed.  This year, Molly Brown became an Admin Official, and ran the computer room with times for all sessions.  Cheryl McCrary and Ali Baker took care of the Hospitality for all the coaches and officials, and helped to make sure they were all hydrated and fed well.  All of our volunteers who helped bring items to the meet, take down, time, run and post event results, announced and any of the many other jobs that go on during the meet, help to make this a huge success for all!

With the swimming side, the Tideriders did amazingly!  We had many swimmers winning High Point Awards, including 12 & Under High Point winners Joseph Moore (7 Year Old Boys), Deon Saunders (9 Year Old Boy), Paige Haug (10 Year Old Girl), Emma Fouke (11 Year Old Girl), Evan Kim (11 Year Old Boy).  13 & Over Top 3 High Points went to 13 – 14 Girls Scout Jackson (1stPayton Robic (2nd) and Noel Rice (3rd), Aiden Kim (2nd 13 – 14 Boys), Caroline Foltz (2nd) and Allie Maloney (3rd) for the 15 & Over Girls, with Josh Noll(1st) and Lee Naber (3rd) rounding out for the 15 & Over Boys.  Caroline won the Mike Smith Award for her last race at the Summer Invite in the 100 Breast.
