5th Straight Year as Long Course Champions

This year’s Long Course Champs meet was a rousing success!  CSP went to the meet with almost 120 athletes entered, which made up about 20% of the meet.  We came out on top for the 5th straight year, while also scoring the most points in the Boys and Girls section of the meet.

CSP won the 10 & Under, 11 – 12 and 13 – 14 Age Groups as well as coming in 2nd in the 15 – 18 Age Group.

Emma Fouke won the Penny Taylor Award as the most outstanding female swimmer, for the second successive year.  She also won the High Point Award for the 11 – 12-Year-Old Girls.  At 11, she qualified for the NCSA Junior National Meet in the 100 Breast, setting a new Team Record in the process, and set the 50 Free Team Record.

Jacob Corbett also set a new Team Record in the 11 – 12 Boys 50 Breast, breaking a record that has stood since 1987.  Jacob was also 2nd place High Point for the 11 – 12 Boy.

Cole Warnke, Henry Mura, Austin Chu, and Aiden Kim teamed up to break the 13 – 14 Boys Team Record in the 400 Free Relay.

Noel Rice won the High Point for the 13 – 14 Girls, while Aiden was 2nd for the 13 – 14 Boys.  Mason Voss (11 – 12 Boys) and Finn Ziolkowski (10 & Under Boys) also were 3rd place High Point Winners!

Winning Events was Eli Voss, while placing in the Top 8 were Julia Bucci, Timmy Chen, Alex Granier, Jason Lai, Parker Robic, Ivan Ryazanov, Deon Saunders, Harper Stewart, and Finn Ziolkowski.  Finishing in the Top 16 was Libby Cole and Boardie Fouke.

Relay swimmers were Neve Agustin, Dasha Duncan, Anika Goettel, Madelyn Myroup,

In the Relays, Harper, Alex, Julia, and Libby were 2nd in the 200 Medley and 3rd in the 200 Free.  Dasha Duncan, Nila Patterson, Anika Goettel and Madelyn Myroup were 6th in the Medley, while Neve Agustin, Quinn Haug, Dasha and Anika were 7th in the Free.

For the Boys, Finn, Eli, Tommy, and Parker were 2nd in the Medley Relays, while Eli, Finn and Parker teamed with Deon for 2nd place in the Free Relays.  Ivan, Deon, Jason, and Boardie were 5th in the Medley, while Timmy, Jason, Boardie, and Ivan were 4th in the Free.

With the 11 – 12-Year-Old Swimmers, winning events were Jacob, Emma, Prairey Maxwell, and Mason.  Placing in the Top 8 were Olive Agustin, Kate Brinton, Charlie Fan, Graham Hall, Cameron House, Marissa Kelley, Evan Kim, Jason Kraft, Indie Layton, and Vivie Murphy.  Finishing in the Top 16 were Charlotte Dahlby, Paige Haug, Dhathri Kolli, Vivian McCaffrey, Tommy Melly, Elsa Moore, Serkan Patterson, Daniel Peterson, Sophie Sobush, Lucas Theodos, and Eve Unger.  Also racing at Long Course Champs was Kya Baker, Winnie Beardsley, Audrey Brown, Christian Chang, Annabelle Crall, Kelli Ji, Lucy Meyer, Eamon Weis, and Lucy Werner.

Emma, Marissa, Prairey and Vivie teamed up to win the 200 Free, 400 Free and 400 Medley Relays, while Indie joined, Emma, Marissa and Prairey to win the 200 Medley.  Elsa, Indie, Olive, and Kate were 5th in the 400 Medley and the 200 Free Relays.  Olive, Vivie, Kate, and Elsa were 4th in the 200 Medley and Indie, Olive, Sophie, and Paige were 6th in the 400 Free Relays.

On the Boys side, Mason, Charlie, Evan, and Jacob won all four relays, while Serkan, Graham, Dhathri and Jason were 6th in the 400 Medley and 6th in the 200 Free.  Cameron, Graham, Dhathri, and Tommy were 4th in the 200 Medley and Cameron, Graham, Dhathri and Serkan were 5th in the 400 Free.

With the 13 – 14 Year Olds, Austin Chu, Reilly Curry, Aiden, and Noel, all won individual events.  Placing in the Top 8 were Reese Anderson, Keegan Brown, Gio Bucci, Colin Cunneen, Laine Curry, Elise Hamelink, Jordyn Hamrah, Henry Hassenstab, Sam Hoberman, Mikail Mir, Maddie Mug, Henry Mura, Brodyn Murphy, Mia Panic, Payton Robic, Cole Warnke, and Ali Williams.  Finishing in the Top 16 were Lucy Baley, Jackson Brinton, Liv Hanes, Sienna Kelley, Arrana Kiewiet, Maitland Michaelson, and Olivia Shell.  Frances Igney, Kenadie Johnson, Kaedyn Miller, and Ryan Moon were also racing with the 13 – 14 Year Olds.

In the Relays, CSP finished 1st in all the Girls Relays, with Noel, Reese, Laine, and Reilly winning the 200 and 400 Free Relays.  Noel, Reese, Laine, and Mia won the 800, while Mia, Payton, Reese, and Noel won the 200 Medley and Mia, Payton, Maddie, and Reilly won the 400 Medley, with Laine, Ali, Reese, and Noel finishing in 2nd.  Mia, Payton, Liv, and Elise were 3rd in the 200 Free and 6th in the 400 Free.  Laine, Ali, Elise, and Reilly were 3rd in the 200 Medley.

For the Boys Relays, Aiden, Austin, Cole, and Keegan were 2nd in the 200 Free, with Curtis Murawski, Brodyn, Gio, and Henry in 5th.  Gio, Aiden, Austin and Cole were 2nd Colin, Curtis, Brodyn and Keegan were 6th in the 200 Medley.  Austin, Cole, Henry, and Aiden were 2nd in both the 400 and 800 Free Relays, while Keegan, Gio, Colin and Brodyn were 3rd in the 800 Free.  Keegan, Brodyn, Gio and Henry were 4th in the 400 Free.  Sam, Austin, Aiden, and Cole were 2nd in the 400 Medley with Colin, Brodyn, Gio and Henry in 6th.

Winning events was Samantha Lee, while placing in the Top 8 were Grady Ashley, Drew Baker, Ashlyn Canale, Casey Chu, Ava Craig, Wills Dino, Sam Ellenhorn, Cate Fear, Everdine Ferguson, Kearney Foy, Anna-Grace Guenther, Charlie Hill, Scout Jackson, Cabot Murawski, Isabelle Phillips, Camden Theodos, Kayla Wahl, Emma Welch, Jaden Yarbrough, and Magnus Yin.  Finishing in the Top 16 were Gigi Demaggio, Jess Lee, Sophia Snyder, and Sarah Wallace.  Swimming in the C Finals were Will Plassmeyer and Amir Yuldashev, while Ella Welch, and Meg Willmann both raced at Champs!

In the Girls Relays, Ava, Everdine, Ashlyn and Cate were 3rd in the 200 Medley, with Emma, Ava, Everdine and Ashlyn 2nd in the 200 Free.  Sarah, Samantha, Kayla, and Cate were 6th in the 200 Free.  Ava, Samantha, Cate, and Anna-Grace were 2nd in the 800 Free, with Jessa, Emma, Everdine and Sophia in 4th.  Emma, Ava, Everdine and Anna-Grace were 2nd in the 400 Medley, while Samantha and Emma joined Ava, and Anna-Grace for 2nd in the 400 Free.  Gigi, Samantha, Isabelle, and Cate were 7th in the 400 Medley, while Everdine, Cate, Sophia and Emma were 5th in the 400 Free.

For the Boys, Steven Busch, Grady, Kearney, and Camden won the 200 Free Relay, with Jaden, Charlie, Wills and Casey in 3rd.  Charlie, Cabot, Magnus, and Grady were 2nd in the 200 Medley.  Camden, Jaden, Wills and Grady were 2nd in the 800 Free, with Magnus, Casey, Kearney, and Sam in 8th.  In the 400 Medley, Kearney, Drew, Casey, and Camden were 5th with Charlie, Magnus, Sam, and Grady in 6th.  With the 400 Free, Kearney, Grady, Camden, and Charlie were 2nd, with Jaden, Sam, Wills and Casey in 4th.
